Harold “Hal” Jordan already had the reputation as the most courageous test pilot alive when he was selected by a dying alien to take his place in an international peacekeeping force, Green Lantern Corps , agents of The Guardians of the Universe . When he accepted the alien’s ring and battery of power, Hal Jordan became a Green Lantern. With a ring whose powers are limited only by one’s imagination and willpower, Green Lantern defends both our world and space sector 2814 .
The Green Lantern belongs to the Green Lantern Corps and is a founding member of the Justice League of America . One of many Green Lanterns, Hal Jordan frequently teams up with other Corps and JLA members to shine his light and battle the darkness of evil and chaos. His enemies include Sinestro , a former Green Lantern who is armed with a yellow power ring, and the alien parasite Parallax .
