Cursed Mountain

Blind mountaineer Andy Holzer blogging his exploits on the game's website.

Silver, the games label of Koch Media, a leading producer and distributor of digital entertainment products, announces a cooperation with the renowned blind mountaineer Andy Holzer. Holzer will report on climbing Mount Cho Oyu in a blog at the official website http://cursedmountain.deepsilver.com for the exclusive Wii™ title "Cursed Mountain".

On April 19, 2009, the team surrounding blind mountaineer Andy Holzer set out for its greatest adventure so far – climbing Cho Oyu in the Himalayas, the world's sixth-highest mountain at 8,021 meters. The team of seven is planning to reach Cho Oyu's summit towards the end of May. For the first time in history, a blind mountaineer, Andy Holzer, will then stand on top of a mountain higher than eight thousand meters.

At the official website for the horror game "Cursed Mountain", which is also set in the Himalayas, Andy Holzer will report in his own blog on the incidents and encounters he experiences during his arduous ascent.

About Cursed Mountain:

Set in the late 1980s, gamers will take on the role of a fearless mountaineer as he climbs into the Himalayas on a quest to find his lost brother. As he ascends the mountain, he encounters an ancient curse: the souls of the people who died in that region are stuck in limbo, caught in the Shadow World. Villagers, pilgrims, mountaineers and Buddhist monks – dead but not yet reincarnated – are all that is left on the mountain.

Terrible visions will disorient him, and ghosts and demons block his path. But the question remains – is his brother still alive?

Cursed Mountain is set to be released in 2009.
