Collaboration Between Software Houses Produces Monkey Game. Darwin the Monkey Released!

Auckland, New Zealand. -- April 23, 2007 -- Rock Solid Games ( http://www.rocksolidgames.com) and Screaming Duck Software announced today the release of Darwin the Monkey, a colourful platform game for Windows PCs.

Darwin the Monkey follows the adventure of a friendly monkey as he stops a tribe of frog people from stealing his bananas.

Darwin is a monkey controlled by the player. Darwin has to recover his bananas by smashing open crates and pushing the contents back to his hot air balloon. The game action involves climbing and jumping all over the place, including on the heads of unfriendly frogs.

The game is the product of a collaboration between two New Zealand based game developers, Rock Solid Games and Screaming Duck Software. Born from a simple idea and a good deal of enthusiasm.

Darwin the Monkey can be played either entirely with the mouse or by keyboard. The game does not require 3d hardware acceleration to look great. Darwin will run on any Windows computer running at 1GHz or faster.
