Clover: A Curious Tale

Features a voice acting cameo by embittered journalist Gary Cutlack.

London, United Kingdom - Thursday 18th February

In a move intended to cause as much embarrassment to said party as possible, Binary Tweed is chuffed to reveal that the secret guest actor in upcoming PC watercolour political platform puzzler Clover: A Curious Tale is none other than games journalism stalwart Gary 'UK:Resistance' Cutlack.

As part of recording complete voice acting for Clover: A Curious Tale's expanded 8,000 word script, Gary's services were begrudgingly granted for his cameo appearance in the game. Aside from writing award-winning gaming blog UK:Resistance, the man also known as Commander Zorg has previously written for Official Xbox Magazine and Sega Saturn Magazine.

Harangued into commenting, Gary said "I tried to talk in a more manly fashion than usual, while attempting to control my wimpy lisp." When asked for insight into the recording process, he offered "I put a pair of tights over my mouth to reduce windy noises on the microphone. I put them back on her washing line and she never noticed they were gone."

Gary plays an eponymous loner who lives in a remote rural village, frustrated by the prevalence of violence in contemporary literature. If protagonist Sam can satisfy his desires for fiction set in a happy fantasy world with blue skies reward is sure to follow.

Binary Tweed's Deejay commented "Clover: A Curious Tale is full of references and in-jokes, and it was a pleasure to include a nod to a writer and a blog that have given me many laughs over the years. Once we decided to have actors record the dialogue, it was an irresistible nerd-urge to get Gary involved."

Clover: A Curious Tale is a downloadable indie title created in partnership with Blitz 1UP, an initiative of Blitz Games Studios. The expanded revamp of XBLIG Clover is to be released on Wednesday 3rd March through Blitz1UP.com and as-yet unannounced partners for the price of GBP5.99, EU6.99 and USD9.99.
