Clive Barker's Jericho™ to feature original soundtrack by Cris Velasco.

New Gameplay Video Available and Release Date Set for Clive Barker's Upcoming Action/Horror Videogame

Codemasters announced today that multiple award-winning videogame composer Cris Velasco (God of War, God of War II) has scored an original soundtrack exclusively for Clive Barker's Jericho, the eagerly anticipated squad-based horror FPS.

Gamers can witness the phantasmagoria that lies ahead in the introductory gameplay trailer video, featuring music taken from Velasco's soundtrack, released today and available from www.codemasters.co.uk/jericho (in Downloads).

Hand picked for the game by Clive Barker himself, Velasco has composed a haunting choral and cinematic orchestral score that enhances the game's epic, paranormal horror experience.

"Cris Velasco's music for Clive Barker's Jericho is exquisite," states Clive Barker. "Filled with yearning, dark energy, threat and redemption, it is the unstoppable engine in the terrifying ghost train of Jericho."

Velasco has enjoyed considerable recognition for his prior work in videogames, including top honours from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences for "Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition", GameSpot's "Best Original Music Award," IGN's "Best Original Score Award," and G.A.N.G.'s "Music of the Year."

Clive Barker's Jericho will unleash its supernatural assault in late October, just in time for Halloween, for the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft® and Games for Windows®. ABOUT CLIVE BARKER'S JERICHO:

A spectacular, creative, and unflinching realisation of Barker's cannon of nightmares, Clive Barker's Jericho is a squad-based horror FPS that combines the darkest elements of Barker's horror fiction with an ambitious, age-spanning story.

Players lead the Jericho squad, a seven-man strike force for the U.S. Department of Occult Warfare, into the Middle Eastern city of Al-Khali to investigate an intense level of paranormal activity. Each member of the squad is an expert in modern warfare as well as their own different para-psychological discipline, including clairvoyance, alchemy, blood magic, exorcism and more.

As the most ancient of evils breaks through into Al-Khali, the denizens of an unknown hell are unleashed as layer upon layer of instances from the city's turbulent and bloody past are formed. Throughout the game, encounters come hard and fast from a bombardment of twisted monsters and gruesome demons. The deeper the squad descends into Al-Khali's tortured history, the more they must combine their military expertise with their paranormal talents to defend the modern world against the supernatural threat.

Developed by Mercury Steam Entertainment, Clive Barker's Jericho will launch this October. For the latest on the game, visit www.codemasters.co.uk/jericho
