Classic L337

Gamer Network Radio launches new Thursday night retro-themed show.

July 28th, 2010 Cleveland Ohio. Gamer Network Radio (GNET) has kicked off a new night of original programming, Retro Thursdays, with the addition of Classic L337, a mixture of retrogaming and current generation discussion like no other radio show today and The Retro League, a group of 4 guys that love retrogaming along with GNET's own Retro Review Show, retrogaming discussion with that patented GNET edge.

Al, GNET station manager had this to say "Being a huge retro gaming fan, and a huge fan of retro podcasts, GNET Radio is honored to be adding 2 of the best retro gaming podcasts to our Thursday night "Retro Night" lineup."

Classic L337 is hosted by Scott and Tony, featuring a unique mixture of classic gaming discussion with current generation systems getting represented also. Each show tries to give fair time to each era, games are detailed with both the classic gamer and current gamer in mind. Classic L337 airs at about 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST)

Classic L337 had this to say about their experience with GNET Radio, "GNET Radio has been awesome to work with. They are incredibly entertaining and professional. It’s an amazing site for anyone who enjoys listening to shows about video games. It’s truly and honor that Classic L337 has their support."

The Retro League (TRL) is not just a show about classic gaming, they also feature games and contests that bring in the listeners for fan interaction with the show. Popular segments round out the discussion such as "The Price is Wrong" (just like the game show, except no prizes and the items up for bid are Ebay auctions), "Virtually Retro" (news about the latest offerings of digital classics on newer consoles) and the ever popular "Question of the Week" (listeners wishing to participate answer a different question each week for a chance to win games and other items). The Retro League airs at about 10:00 PM EST.

"Each week on The Retro League we cover the latest retrotastic buzz and share our fondest classic gaming memories. We are excited to be partnering with GNET Radio and their outstanding lineup of gaming podcasts." said The Retro League about their joining the ranks of Gamer Network Radio for Retro Thursdays.

Retro Review Show (RRS) is hosted by Al and Mike (Programming Director for GNET) from The ESCape show (aring on Wednesday nights) and goes in depth with the classics. Kicked off with a series of "Battle of the Mascots" shows, RRS has set new levels of excellence for classic gaming radio shows and is just beginning. RRS carries that edge that GNET Radio is known for. Retro Review Show airs two back to back shows starting around 9:00 PM EST.
