Motion Capture outfit joins TIGA.

TIGA, the trade association representing the UK games industry, today announced Centroid as its newest member.

Centroid is Europe's largest Motion Capture facility, based at Pinewood Studios, offering all aspects of performance and animal capture. The team at Centroid have worked on countless games titles including Guitar Hero 5; Prince Caspian; Eve Online; World of Darkness; Silent Hill Origins and the highly anticipated APB and Brink.

Centroid also boasts a wealth of experience in motion capture for feature films and TV, having worked on movie blockbusters including Quantum of Solace; Harry Potter; 2012; The Wolfman; Prince Of Persia - Sands Of Time; Ridley Scott's Robin Hood and recently Evian’s ‘roller skating babies’ advert.

Phil Stilgoe, Operations Director at Centroid explains the company’s reasons for joining TIGA:

“At Centroid we are extremely passionate about our work and pushing the boundaries of what is possible through motion capture and pre-visualisation technology. We are lucky enough to have worked with some of the best names in video games, film and TV.
