Brightside Entertainment Releases Tasty Treats Adventures - The Secret Recipes

Barlad, Romania, August 5, 2007 - Independent game developers Brightside Entertainment have announced the release of a new family friendly, single player and multiplayer game for PC and Mac, called "Tasty Treats Adventures - The Secret Recipes". The game is a mix between a typical jump and run platformer with elements coming from adventure and quest games.

You are playing as a young piggy named Billy Bob Bacon who's dream is to be hired at his home town's most prestigious restaurant and become the greatest chef around. Not a trivial task even for a piggy like Billy Bob, who has all the knowledge and skills required because the owner, Mr.Piggenstein, for some reason believes that a great chef should be able to gather his ingredients from the most improbable and impossible to get to places.

As Billy Bob you'll get to jump and run around the world, find secret recipes, gather ingredients, solve quests, puzzles and riddles, master mechanical traps by figuring out the patterns that govern them, get chased by AI controlled monsters that have vowed to not let you get close to all the goodies, avoid monsters walking on predefined patterns or jump on their heads where they can't catch you. The 15 levels belonging to 5 totally different themes and featuring a total of 60 well hidden secret areas will keep you busy for hours on end.

The multiplayer mode sets you against friends or other players from all over the world in four engaging modes. With different multiplayer maps available for each game mode, the ability to play all the single player maps in multiplayer and the promise of a new map each week, the multiplayer mode translates into countless hours of non violent, running an jumping fun.

The game also features three built in mini games that break the regular platformer game rhythm :

- "Challenge the Champ" pits you against the best monster in the level and forces you to survive in an enclosed space with it for a specific period of time. It will be up to you to use your environment to your advantage. Survive for that long and you will be allowed access to the biggest secret area in the level packed full of tasty treats.

- "The Color Maze" will make you use your attention and analytical mind as you have to decide which is the right way through the color encoded labyrinth.

- "Survivor" is a game of pure timing and jumping skills. The longer you survive the more ingredients you will gather. Figure out the perfect moment to jump and you'll be on your way to unlimited treats.
