Blitz Arcade's indie publishing label signs tenth game and launches direct selling site.

22 February 2010. Leamington Spa, UK. Blitz 1UP, the indie publishing initiative from Blitz Arcade today announced its tenth signing and outlined the next phase in the scheme’s growth, with an expanding portfolio of titles, a new website selling the games direct and the addition of new distribution channels.

“With our heritage as an independent studio we’ve been able to connect with the indie scene and establish a framework for producing a continuous stream of high quality games,” says Chris Swan, Blitz 1UP’s Business Development Director. “This next phase of growth will focus on widening our network of publishers and distributors to maximise the potential of our titles. I’m proud to announce that as of today our titles can be purchased directly from Blitz1UP.com, and that this is only just the beginning for us.”

Blitz 1UP has already had a very active start to the year, with Mole Control and KrissX already finding their way to the marketplace.

“The next game to launch will be the PC title Clover: A Curious Tale on 3 March,” adds Chris. “We also have a number of additional titles already signed up for release over the next few months, so it’s a very exciting time for us.”

Blitz 1UP was formed as an outlet for small, independent teams to bring their titles – finished and unfinished - to market on XBLA, PSN, PC, WiiWare, iPhone and Flash. The initiative offers tailor-made packages to indie developers including PR, QA and access to the proprietary cross platform BlitzTech engine.
