Bethesda confirms Brink delay

Splash Damage shooter pushed back to autumn 2010 release

Fallout publisher Bethesda has confirmed to GamesIndustry.biz that upcoming shooter Brink has been pushed back to an autumn 2010 release.

The first-person multiformat shooter developed by the UK's Splash Damage was originally due for release in the spring.

Earlier in the year, Bethesda's European MD Sean Brennan told GamesIndustry.biz that the game is an example of its strong European work, and he hopes it will compare with the company's biggest first-person releases to date.

"That's a product that we believe is a genre-breaker, it's a real killer app. From a quality perspective we're pitching that along the same lines as Fallout 3," he said.

The game has been picking up positive praise from the specialist press since it was first revealed at E3 earlier this year.
