BATMAN TAKES ON GOTHAM’S SINISTER CRIME SYNDICATE IN THE NEW MOBILE PHONE GAME FROM WARNER BROS. ONLINE

Glendale, Calif. and London, U.K., July 7, 2005 -Warner Bros. Online today announced that "Batman Begins," a new mobile adventure game that explores the origins of the Batman legend, is now available on all major carriers in the United Kingdom. Based on the Warner Bros. Pictures film of the same name, "Batman Begins" is an action packed platform adventure that allows mobile gamers to embark on a mission to root out and eliminate the corruption that has taken over Gotham City.

The "Batman Begins" mobile game challenges gamers to a series of stealth and combat challenges as they step into the shadows of Gotham City as the legendary Dark Knight himself. As Batman, players must take on Carmine Falcone's crime syndicate with the intention of preventing a large shipment of weapons from reaching Gotham, spoiling the syndicate's plans, and eventually confronting the crime lord himself.

Fans can also transform their phones into the ultimate bat gear by accessing a broad array of original mobile content. Warner Bros. Online has selected iconic images from the film but the company and also designed unique, stylized wallpapers and screensavers that are only available for handsets. Some of the most exciting moments from the film are also featured in video and voice applications.

Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins" explores the origins of the Batman legend and the Dark Knight's emergence as a force for good in Gotham. In the wake of his parent's murder, disillusioned industrialist Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) travels the world seeking the means to fight injustice and turn fear against those who prey on the fearful. He returns to Gotham and unveils his alter-ego: Batman, a masked crusader who uses his strength, intellect and an array of hi-tech deceptions to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city. The film also stars Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Katie Holmes, Gary Oldman, Cillian Murphy, Tom Wilkinson, Rutger Hauer, Ken Watanabe and Morgan Freeman.
