Bango and July partner on mobile storefronts

End-to-end virtual stores a snip with new collaborative solution

Selling games, wallpapers and ringtones could soon become much easier for content providers, under a new solution provided by mobile collaborators July Systems and Bango.

Content owners will be able to create sophisticated mobile shopfronts using July Systems' smart retailing technology to create a personalised retail experience for the consumer, incorporating flexible pricing, bundles, rentals, subscriptions and other incentives.

Bango then enables consumers to buy from the easily accessible store, using the best available payment method, on any network, anywhere in the world and in multiple currencies.

"July's solutions are unique insofar as they allow for effective translation of the high street retail experience to the mobile channel," commented Ashok Narasimham, CEO and chairman of July Systems. "As such they will attract more content owners to realise the potential of the mobile channel."

"Merchandising and personalisation done well gives consumers choices in the way they buy content and enables them to find what they want in the shortest time," continued Narasimham. "This leads to greater retention of the user within a browse and buy context."
