Bakugan Battle Brawlers

Doing very well on the DS thank you very much.

SANTA MONICA, CA – December 14, 2009 – Activision Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) announced today that Bakugan Battle Brawlers™ is among the leading kids videogames for 2009, and is already one of the biggest hits of the holiday season on Nintendo DS™.

The Nintendo DS™ version of Bakugan Battle Brawlers™, released on October 20 in North America as a Collector’s Edition and a regular edition, is the #2 best-selling game among current fourth quarter 2009 releases for this system. It is the #5 best-selling full priced title among all games for Nintendo DS™ in November 2009. (Source: NPD Group)

The successful launch of the Bakugan Battle Brawlers™ video game builds on the continued strength of the Bakugan property in toys and television. Spin Master’s Bakugan 7-in-1 Maxus Dragonoid has been included on holiday top toy lists across the nation and is among the hottest toys of 2009. The animated TV show continues to be one of the most popular on Cartoon Network in the United States and TELETOON in Canada.

Developed by NOW Production, the Bakugan Battle Brawlers™ video game allows fans to become a part of the universe they love – meeting all the characters from the show and taking part in battles to become the world’s best. Utilizing special game cards Bakugan battle masters roll spheres onto the cards, which activate and transform into Bakugan “battle brawling” action figures.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers is a co-production from Nelvana Enterprises, Spin Master Ltd., Sega Toys Ltd., TMS Entertainment, Ltd., Japan Vistec Inc. and Sega Corporation, with animation by Japan Vistec Inc. and TMS Entertainment, Ltd. It is rated Everyone by the ESRB.
