Avalanche to unveil new technology at Nordic Game

Avalanche Studios has announced it will be unveiling its new and improved Avalanche Engine at this week's Nordic Game event.

Avalanche Studios has announced it will be unveiling its new and improved Avalanche Engine at this week's Nordic Game event.

The Just Cause developer will be showing off new technology features and discussing how the rapidly-expanding Avalanche team copes with the demands of next-generation development.

"In just four years we've expanded from a six-man studio to a developer with over one hundred employees and moved from being a one project-at-a-time games creator to a multi-franchise studio," commented Christofer Sundberg, creative director of Avalanche Studios.

"Growing isn't cool in itself but sometimes it's a necessary evil considering the complexity of today's projects."

"Improving efficiency at Avalanche Studios has been key in avoiding the trap of becoming a slow-moving beast. Our experiences with managing growth are something we're very happy to share with our industry colleagues at Nordic Game," he said.

Nordic Game takes place May 15 and 16 in Malmo, Sweden. Avalanche Studios' will present its new technology at 14:15 on May 15.
