Austin Game Conference seeks speakers

The organisers of this year's Austin Game Conference, which takes place on October 27 and 28, have put out a call for speakers to talk about topics related to networked game development.

The event is billed as "the definitive conference for networked game development", and covers mobile, wireless and general online PC and console gaming as well as MMO.

It's designed to offer developers and business professionals the chance to network, hear from industry leaders and catch up with the latest technological developments.

Last year, more than 1400 people attended the AGC and over 125 speakers gave presentations. This year the number of attendees is expected to rise to around 2000, and event organisers are looking for "handy, able-minded speakers who can share their insights" into MMOG.

Anyone interested in speaking should visit the AGC website to submit a proposal, which will then be considered by the advisory board.

The AGC is organised by The Game Initiative, also responsible for holding the Advertising in Games Forum, the Women's Game Conference and a series of regional conferences and workshops titled How to Break Into the Industry.
