Atomic Games hopes to complete Six Days in Fallujah

Developer says the decision to pull the game due to public uproar came as a "surprise"

Atomic Games, the developer behind Six Days in Fallujah, has said Konami's decision to pull the game came as a "surprise".

Konami cancelled the upcoming release of the controversial war title, following an uproar from the press, former military officers and surviving family members - who branded the title as "flippant" and "insensitive".

"We were informed on Thursday night that Konami had decided to pull out of Six Days in Fallujah," commented Peter Tamte, president of Atomic Games.

"This caught us by surprise. Development of the game had been progressing very well and on schedule. We would very much like the opportunity to complete the game," he added.
