ASUS European Nations Championship

Europe's eSports champion to be determined at gamescom in Cologne, with €120,000 total prize money.

Cologne, January 28th, 2010 – Which European nation is best at eSports? The answer will be found in the upcoming season of the ASUS European Nations Championship (ENC), the European championship of electronic Sports. After ENC's great success at last year's gamescom, the Electronic Sports League (ESL) and ASUS decided to expand the competition even further. With qualification tournaments all over Europe and 120,000 Euro total prize money, the ENC has reached a whole new level. The chosen games are Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike: Source, Warcraft 3, FIFA 10 and Quake Live plus yet another new highlight: An all-female Counter-Strike 1.6 competition.

The teams will qualify through the online season and events in different European countries for the final event at the gamescom fair in Cologne, Germany taking place from August 19th – 22nd, 2010. ASUS, Windows 7 and gamed!de will be supporting the new ENC Season.

ASUS European Nations Championship

The ASUS European Nations Championship (ENC) is the European championship for national teams, presented by the Electronic Sports League (ESL). Every season the ESL and ASUS invite all European countries to participate in a competition featuring Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike: Source, Warcraft 3, FIFA 10 and Quake Live. A total prize purse of $120,000 is handed out to the winners. The national teams qualify through a series of events in several European countries for the final at gamescom, taking place from August 19th - 22nd, 2010 in Cologne, Germany. The ASUS European Nations Championship is powered by ASUS, Windows 7 and gamed!de.
