VidZone becomes world's biggest music video streaming app

Application downloaded over 2 million times since launch

VidZone has become the biggest application of its type in the world, according to its creators, notching up over two million downloads since its launch last year.

"VidZone is official the biggest dedicated music video streaming application in the world," VidZone head of production Ben Creasey announced via the official European PlayStation blog.

The application has now been downloaded over two million times and users have streamed in excess of 200 million videos to date. "I think the correct response is 'wow!'" Creasey added.

Operated by the London-based company VidZone and SCE, the free VidZone service enables music video streaming on the PlayStation 3 from a catalogue of 13,000 videos. The service was launched across PAL regions in June 2009.
