Ubisoft studio licenses Trinigy Vision Engine

Blue Byte, the creator of The Settlers franchise, will have access to the tool for an unannounced title

Ubisoft's studio Blue Byte has signed a licensing deal to gain access to Trinigy's latest Vision Engine 7.0.

Trinigy's engine has been licensed by companies such as Firefly, Take-Two, Neowiz, Zed Group, dtp Entertainment and Spellbound.

"We have been evaluating multiple technologies," said Dietmar Meschede, head of programming at Blue Byte.

"Trinigy's Vision Engine and their outstanding support convinced us all along the line. They are a perfect fit for us."

The German-based Ubisoft studio is the developer behind The Settlers franchise and will use the engine on an as yet unannounced title.

"Blue Byte is a highly renowned studio and we are delighted to welcome them as a customer," said Dag Frommhold, managing partner at Trinigy.

"We are proud to support their team with our technology."
