Football Extravaganza event to raise money for music therapy charity

Sports Interactive is to sponsor 2010's Football Extravaganza, a charity event which raises money annually for music therapy organisation Nordoff Robbins.

The Football Manager development studio said it had no hesitation in getting further involved with the event, which has raised over GBP 4 million for charity to date.

The upcoming dinner will be presented by Sky Sports' Richard Keys and will be awarding its Legend of Football award to Eric Cantona.

"We've been very lucky to have attended the evening for the last few years and have always had a good time, with great company, for a great cause, so had no hesitation in getting more involved when asked." said Miles Jacobson, studio director at Sports Interactive.

"We hope to see as many games industry companies at the event. It's not every day you get to be in a room with Eric Cantona, let alone hear him speak, and there are bound to be great auction prizes to bid on too, so hopefully the companies that have previously attended will be there again, and we hope to see some new faces there too."

The event is set to take place at the Hilton Park Lane on Monday April 12 with over 1000 key players from music, media, radio and television expected to attend.
