Specialmove appoints programming specialist

The UK-based games industry consultancy firm has hired a recruitment specialist for programming

Specialmove, a UK games industry recruitment consultancy firm, has appointed Grant Mark as recruitment executive for programming.

Mark has four years experience as a console programmer in the industry - responsible for the cross-platform development of internal proprietary technology, tools and pipelines used in multiple titles across multiple platforms as well as the design of an engine framework for downloadable PC titles.

Specialmove also announced that it has promoted Matthew Hill to head of recruitment.

Hill joined the company in 2006 after ten years in the industry with companies such as Zoo Digital and Cryo Interactive. At Specialmove, he helped secure key accounts such as Sega, THQ, Gamestation and Amazon.co.uk.

"The assembled team at Specialmove now has 40 years combined experience of actually working within developers, publishers and retailers," said CEO Andy Campbell.

"This gives us a unique position in the marketplace which we are set to continue to expand upon."
