Softkinetic hires former 3DVIA VP to lead sales and marketing

Virgile Delporte is appointed by 3D gesture recognition software company

Leading 3D gesture recognition software provider Softkinetic has hired former 3DVIA VP Virgile Delporte to lead its sales and marketing efforts.

The company said today that Delporte would be responsible for driving its branding and communications strategies, as well as expanding sales and new business opportunities.

"Virgile Delporte's experience and stellar track record in business development and marketing will be crucial for taking our company to the next level," said Michel Tombroff, CEO of Softkinetic.

"His dynamic leadership skills are exactly what we need to further the growth of Softkinetic and expand the adoption of our technologies, including iisu."

Prior to his tenure with 3DVIA, Delporte founded a North American subsidiary of Virtools in Montreal, which was acquired by Dassault Systemes in 2005.

"I am very excited to be part of this new and growing segment of the interactive technology space," said Delporte. "Softkinetic's technology is unparalleled and already trusted by early adopters. I look forward to creating new opportunities for the company for both the business and consumer marketplaces."
