Redundancies at DR Studios as team restructures

Train2Game and PC developer shuffles internal resources

DR Studios has told GamesIndustry.biz that it has made a handful of redundancies as it restructures it serious games and development teams.

As well as PC game development, the company also runs the Train 2 Game business, offering game design courses through distance learning.

"As part of our development strategy we have more effectively integrated the serious games and games development resource," said CEO Clive Robert

"This gives us more focus on current industry processes as it relates to our training products and also helps us focus our development projects to be more commercial. It's always sad losing good people and in this current climate it can be sometimes be taken out of context."

"DRS are moving forward aggressively and will have a strong year. But we need to stay focused and remain competitive," he added.

Four staff have been laid off, with over 30 team member remaining. The company is based in Milton Keynes
