Philips amBX appoints Neil MacDonald as CEO

Former Dixons, BT and Fujitsu exec brings retail and online experience to peripherals business

Philips has announced the appointment of Neil MacDonald as CEO of its amBX business.

MacDonald has previously held senior positions at Dixons, Fujitsu Siemens, BT and Yoomedia, amongst others.

"I'm ready to bring all my retail, hardware and online experience to drive the business upwards and onwards at this important and exciting time in the amBX life cycle,” commented MacDonald.

"There are some extremely high profile development, publishing, hardware and retail companies enthusiastically supporting amBX and we intend to continue to expand on those partnerships and push the boundaries of what amBX can achieve across both the trade and consumer sectors."

The amBX peripherals range is currently receiving support from publishers such as Ubisoft, Codemasters, and THQ, and developers Gas Powered Games, Gearbox Software and Sumo Digital.
