New GTA episode gets release date

UPDATE: Episodes From Liberty City to cost 34.99 in UK at retail; October 29 release date

The Ballad of Gay Tony, Rockstar's second Xbox 360 exclusive GTA episode, will be released on October 29, Rockstar has confirmed.

Like GTA IV's first new episode, The Lost and the Damned, the new game will be available to either download over Xbox Live or purchase on a disc. Take-Two will simultaneously be releasing both the boxed standalone game and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City, which will bundle The Lost of the Damned with The Ballad of Gay Tony, for USD 39.99. Neither version requires players have a copy of GTA IV in order to play them.

Downloaded over Xbox Live as DLC, the game will cost USD 19.99, or 1600 MS points (GBP 13.60) and players must have a copy of GTA IV and Xbox Live membership.

Rockstar is yet to confirm the UK boxed retail price for the new episode.

UPDATE: Rockstar has now confirmed Episodes From Liberty City will retail at GBP 34.99 in the UK.
