NCsoft opens new Aion servers

European and North American servers introduced to help ease congestion

NCsoft is to introduce two new European servers for its popular MMO Aion just days after its release across the regions.

French-speaking players will shortly be able to access the new Deltras server, and English speakers the new Kahrun one. Their additions come shortly after East and West Coast servers were added for North American players.

Prior to its launch across Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore on September 25, Aion had already accumulated pre-order sales of 450,000.

With the rolling out of new servers, said NCsoft, it was hoped queues for the most populated ones would be shortened and that more players would be able to enjoy the game.

"We will continue to monitor the situation and maintain the delicate balance between managing busy servers versus overcompensating by adding new servers that may become underpopulated," it added.
