Metaboli signs Epic for Unreal deal

DRM-free Unreal Tournament series on offer in Europe and US

Digital distribution service Metaboli has signed a three year deal with Epic Games to offer the Unreal Tournament series to consumers.

The deal includes all three Unreal Tournament games, along with special editions and downloadable content, and will be free of any DRM restrictions.

"This is the very first time Unreal Tournament 3 has been available for subscription, and we’re pleased to increase the availability of the Unreal series through this partnership with Metaboli," commented Jay Wilbur, vice president of Epic.

"Our aim is to make it as easy as possible for players to access our content, and we hope to better serve the Unreal community through this arrangement."

The Unreal series will be marketed under the Metaboli, Gametap and Gamesplanet brands, across the company's partners including BT, Orange, MSN, GAME and Saturn.
