Lord of the Rings: Conquest demo hits 1m downloads

Pandemic title knocks Call of Duty off top of Live charts

The demo for Pandemic and EA's Lord of the Rings: Conquest has been downloaded over one million times.

Available on Sony's PSN and Microsoft's Xbox Live services, the demo has also managed to knock Activision's Call of Duty: World at War off the top of the Live charts after nine weeks on top.

The game was released earlier this month and has received lukewarm reviews from the specialist press, with Metacritic ratings of 58 and 60 per cent on Xbox 360 and PS3, respectively.
