Dutch game development studio Guerrilla has signed a deal with SCEE which will see the company, currently working on PS2 title Killzone, developing games exclusively for SCEE and Sony platforms in future.

Under the terms of the deal, Killzone will remain exclusive to the PlayStation 2 and will be published by SCEE as expected, and Guerrilla will also begin development of several new titles on future Sony platforms.

"This strategic alliance with one of Europe's hottest new creative and technical talents shows our determination to only work with the best, whether they are our in-house or not," explained SCEE's executive vice president of development, Phil Harrison.

Killzone, which Harrison described as "a very important title for [SCEE]", will be showcased for the first time in public at E3 this May, ahead of being released in October as a key element of Sony's Christmas 2004 line-up.

"We have enjoyed an excellent working relationship with SCEE throughout the development of Killzone and are extremely pleased to be extending this partnership," enthused Guerrilla managing director Hermen Hulst. "We are looking forward to working exclusively with SCEE, applying our talent and technology to new platforms in order to establish Guerrilla as one of the finest development studios in Europe."
