GameStop prices Tony Hawk Ride at $120

New wireless skateboard controller will not come cheap in the US

Major US retailer GameStop has listed Activision's Tony Hawk Ride for a price of $119.99, including the new wireless skateboard controller.

The GameStop website also lists a release date of October 13 for the Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. Activision has not revealed an official price tag - although it has indicated it would be in line with existing Guitar Hero bundles. On the Guitar Hero: World Tour guitar controller bundle is priced at $99.99.

Tony Hawk Ride and the wireless controller was revealed for the first time earlier in the month, but Activision has not announced a release date more specific than autumn 2009. Although the game will be released in Europe during the same period there is continued confusion over whether the Xbox 360 version will be a timed exclusive.

Although listed on other sites such as, no other retailer has stated a price for the game - either in the US or Europe.
