Foto Showdown

Phirst gameplay trailer released for Konami's DSi strategy RPG.

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. unveiled the first gameplay trailer for the upcoming turn-based strategy RPG, Foto Showdown for the Nintendo DSi. The new trailer provides extensive story details and a robust walkthrough of the core gameplay mechanics in the game, as well as shows gamers how to utilize the Nintendo DSi camera functionality to take photos of anything in their world and turn them into battle-tested monsters. Additionally, the trailer showcases the main gameplay features such as deck construction, a look at tournament play, how to utilize the in-game store for purchasing weapons and health upgrades, and how to connect via local connection to battle a friend on-line.

Foto Showdown also allows players to snap photos with the DSi, which uses advanced color recognition to spawn monsters based on the dominant colors in those photos. Players pit their battle tested monsters against rivals in no holds barred turn based duels that put the unique powers of each monster to the test. As players progress through more than 70 levels, winning tournaments and beating opponents, they will be able to upgrade their powers, purchase more powerful weapons, as well as add medicine and tools providing the ability to wreak greater havoc on their duelist partner. The longer a player plays, the stronger they get.

Foto Showdown is scheduled for release in Q1 2010 for the Nintendo DSi. To download the trailer and for more information, please visit:
