FISHLABS award

Silver Award bestowed upon mobile games maker by Juniper Research.

- for immediate publication –

Hamburg, Germany, 06 March 2009 – FISHLABS Entertainment GmbH, leading developer and publisher of high-quality 3D mobile games, have been given the Silver Award by Juniper Research for their innovation in the field of mobile games.

The Hamburg-based company has hit the jackpot again in the past year. According to MobileGamesDB, FISHLABS was the best developer and publisher of 2008, with an unbelievable rating of 9/10 points on average, followed by Gameloft, which received an average evaluation of 8/10. Equivalently, Pocket Gamer ranked the 3D racing game Rally Master Pro™ in first place and Snowboard Hero™ in third place on the list of the best mobile games in the world.

In addition, FISHLABS has expended their sales channels: Rally Master Pro™ and Galaxy on Fire™ 2, the outer space shooter nominated for the International Mobile Gaming Awards in the category ‘Excellence in 3D’, are virally available over the Internet as free downloads and can be expanded with a premium upgrade.

Juniper based the Silver Award on the leading role of FISHLABS in terms of the high quality of their games and their innovative distribution models, such as the free Try & Buy download in combination with download via PC and on their outstanding reputation with several million mobile game fans worldwide.

The Future Mobile Award is given to companies which, in the opinion of Juniper Research, have made significant progress within their sector, and are now poised to make considerable market impact thanks to their innovative products. The panel of expert judges makes their decision based on criteria such as innovation, customer retention, sales models, customer growth, price-performance ration, ease of use, and functionality.

‘To receive the Juniper Research Future Mobile Awards in the Games Category into second place right behind Apple for innovating the mobile games industry is a great achievement for our company and our products’, says Michael Schade, CEO of FISHLABS Entertainment GmbH. ‘From the very beginning FISHLABS was constantly pushing the envelope in terms of quality and innovation for both, our games themselves but also the way we sell our products to consumers. With our award-winning mobile games portfolio and our revolutionary free try & buy download model we will change the game of the mobile games industry.’
