Evolution Studios Scoops Prestigious Microsoft Tech Track 100 Placing

Second Year Running For Acclaimed PlayStation 3 Developer

Thursday 28th September/...The continued growth and all-round success of Evolution Studios over the past 12 months has been recognised and honoured by The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100, which has placed the developer in its list of rising technology stars for the second consecutive year.

Evolution CEO Martin Kenwright was delighted: "We are still one of Britain's one hundred fastest-growing private tech companies: highly profitable and in a sustained and thrilling period of growth."

"Since making the chart last year we have more than doubled in size, and cemented our position as one of the world's leading fully independent developers of entertainment software. Winning a place in the list once again is thrilling, and a testament to the world-class creative, technical and business ability of both our studios - Evolution and bigBig - and which will continue with the imminent launch of MotorStorm exclusively for Playstation3".

The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 ranks Britain's fastest-growing private technology companies based on sales growth, and is one of the most reliable gauges of success for any software developer. Chairman Ian Hetherington said: "It is very gratifying to receive recognition from a publication with the authority of the Sunday Times. Success at this level is created by talent, hard work and a little luck. Fortunately, at Evolution I have no difficulty in identifying the first two".

Managing Director Mick Hocking added "The blue-sky research and development at Evolution in areas of simulation, rendering, physics and audio technology, and our refined skill at combining them into thrilling entertainment, mean that the future is looking exceptionally bright, and we are supremely confident that we can make the list for the third year running in 2008 as our revenue streams expand globally".
