Enlight secures in-game advertising deal

Games developer Enlight Software has announced the signing of a deal with Exent Technologies, for the provision of in-game advertising to a catalogue of existing and future PC titles.

Games developer Enlight Software has announced the signing of a deal with Exent Technologies, for the provision of in-game advertising to a catalogue of existing and future PC titles.

Israel-based Exent Technologies - best known for its games-on-demand and digital distribution services - is able to implement in-game advertising into both new and existing titles, without the need to access source code, ensuring that Enlight's back catalogue of titles can also benefit from the deal.

Under the terms of the agreement, Exent and its extensive group of advertising partners will be placing ads within a range of Enlight's titles worldwide, including Restaurant Empire, Zoo Empire, Marine Park Empire, Joan of Arc and Capitalism 2.

Trevor Chan, Enlight's CEO, commented: "We've been very interested in the additional revenue avenues that in-game advertising offers but thought it would only be possible with future titles."

"When we learned that Exent could add in-game advertising to titles that had already been hits at retail without a costly redesign and the need to redistribute, it was an easy decision to sign with them," he added.
