Dare to be Digital unveils Dream expansion

Respected game design competition invites ideas from the public

Abertay University's Dare to be Digital team has unveiled a new addition to this year's competition, called Dream, which invites members of the public, from anywhere, to submit their game ideas.

Those ideas will then be voted on by industry professionals and other members of the public, with winners receiving a cash prize of GBP 500 and an invitation to become part of the Dream community.

Some of the winning game ideas will also be taken forward by teams competing later this year in the 2009 Dare to be Digital competition, in which students have just ten weeks to put together a working videogame.

Pitches should be submitted to the Dare website, while the BAFTA Ones to Watch Award in March will recognise the best of last year's competition entries.
