Best Buy launches UK website ahead of store openings
US retail giant establishes web presence ahead of Lakeside shop opening in spring
Best Buy has launched a UK website ahead of its move into the British retail market, due to happen this spring.
The site contains a number of buyers guides and features, including ones on gaming, this year's Consumer Electronics Show and 3D TVs.
The US retail giant is scheduled to open its first UK stores at Lakeside in Thurrock, Southampton and Merry Hill in the West Midlands this spring.
"I feel strongly that there's a real opportunity for us to offer something really fresh, exciting and new to electronics consumers in the UK," said the company's UK CEO Paul Antoniadis.
"At the moment our team is busy getting ready to launch our business in Spring 2010, and this website is the first stage in that process."
