50 Cent sues over online game

US rapper 50 Cent has filed a lawsuit against Internet advertising firm Traffix, claiming his image was illegally used in web game Shoot the Rapper.

US rapper 50 Cent has filed a lawsuit against Internet advertising firm Traffix, claiming his image was illegally used in web game Shoot the Rapper.

According to the Associated Press the rapper - whose real name is Curtis Jackson - is seeking USD 1 million in damages.

He has also requested a permanent injunction which would prevent his likeness from being used in the game.

Shoot the Rapper sees players using their mouse to shoot a character who Jackson's suit alleges is meant to represent 50 Cent.

The rapper's name does not feature in the game but lawyer Peter Raymond argued, "It looks like him, and there's no doubt the character is intended to be him."
