Twitch accumulated 2bn hours of viewership during February

Facebook Gaming accumulated 497 million hours watched within the month

Twitch amassed a viewership of 2 billion hours watched in February, according to StreamElements analytics partner Rainmaker.gg.

Facebook Gaming meanwhile accumulated 497 million hours during the month. The company noted that as the month is shorter than January the dip in viewership for both platforms is a part of an occurring pattern.

Regarding the games watched on the Twitch platform in February, Amazon Games' Lost Ark was the most-watched title with 143 million hours.

It was followed by League of Legends at 131 million, Grand Theft Auto V at 127 million, and Valorant at 84 million.

Although Counter-Strike: Global Offensive wasn't among the most viewed game, it reached 66 million views on Twitch during the month. According to StreamElements this was an increase of 72% month-over-month for the title.

Additionally, the report noted that February was the first time in which a VTuber, a content creator that uses a virtual avatar, was among the top ten most watched people on the streaming platform.

"VTubing as a format continues to grow the diverse landscape of the creator economy with Ironmouse and her milestone-setting month leading the charge to over 100k subscribers," said StreamElements chief business officer Jason Krebs.
