Resident Evil Village and It Takes Two among winners at 2021 Steam Awards

Deathloop, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and Terraria also picked up accolades

Yesterday, Steam announced the winners of its annual Steam Awards, which saw Resident Evil Village crowned game of the year by the public.

Other winners include Hazelight's It Takes Two, which picked up the Better with Friends award, while Arkane's Deathloop won the Most Innovative Gameplay award.

Cooking Simulator VR took home the VR Game of the Year award, while Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy picked up the Best Soundtrack accolade.

Some older releases took home awards too; Re-Logic's Terraria snagged the Labour of Love award, and Cyberpunk 2077 snapped up the Outstanding Story-Rich Game award.

  • Best Soundtrack: Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy (Square Enix)
  • Outstanding Story-Rich Game: Cyberpunk 2077 (CD Projekt Red)
  • Sit Back and Relax: Farming Simulator 22 (Giants Software)
