Remedy announces new studio in Sweden

New subsidiary to open in 2022 and employ remote and in-office hybrid work model

Today Control developer Remedy announced that it will open a new game development studio in Sweden.

In a statement, the company said that it intends to open to its new subsidiary in the first half of 2022.

The developer shared that for more than a year it had a pilot initiative of Sweden-based staff working for it.

Remedy also said that COVID-19 attributed to it employing a new work model for the new office location.

"We understand that everyone is different, and has different needs, on different days," said game director James Salt.

"Some days are best spent focused, headphones on, working on something cool, whereas other days, such as when teams are working on planning, perhaps would benefit from in-person facetime. The hybrid model is about letting people choose the method that works best for them, on any given day."
