Three of the best from GI Live: London | Podcast

Audio versions of our interviews with PlayStation's Jim Ryan, Haven Studios' Jade Raymond and Obsidian's Feargus Urquhart now available

Three of the top sessions from this month's GI Live: London event are now available via The Podcast -- as subscribers to our feed will likely already know.

Over the past week, we've been rolling out audio versions of some of our biggest interviews. If you haven't already downloaded them, be sure to subscribe to the show on the podcasting platform over your choice.

You can also find the regular news show (which returns later this week), and our spin-off shows The Five Games Of... and The Game Developer's Playlist.

The three sessions include our one-on-one interviews with PlayStation boss Jim Ryan, Haven Studios founder Jade Raymond and Obsidian Entertainment CEO Feargus Urquhart.

You can listen to all three below, or watch all the other free sessions from GI Live: London on our YouTube channel.

Our next event is the latest GI Academy student event, an entirely free, digital-only summit that takes place in Discord from October 27 to 29.

Industry professionals from some of the UK's biggest games developers, plus a few famous faces, will be dropping into the Discord to take part in roundtables, to advise students on pathways into video games, to review portfolios, and to share insight into what they do, and what it is like working in this business.

You can find more information here.

Fireside chat with Jim Ryan

Our discussion explores Jim's career at PlayStation throughout its history, his thoughts on the future of PS5, and his hopes for the growth of the video games industry.

Fireside chat with Jade Raymond

We speak to the former EA and Ubisoft exec about her new studio's progress, forming a team of former Assassin's Creed and Stadia developers, and Raymond's hopes for the future.

Interview with Obsdian CEO Feargus Urquhart

Urquhart offers advice to studios on what they should look for in a publishing partner, and also explores the road to Microsoft's acquisition of Obsidian and the interested parties that came before it.
