Ikea to release gaming furniture collection

Swedish home decor retailer to release new product line globally in October

Ikea announced today that it is set to release a new collection of furniture for people whom play games.

The home decor giant's new line of furniture is poised for release globally in October. The products are said to include gaming desks, chairs, and accessories.

Ikea has created the line in collaboration with gaming hardware company Republic of Gamers, and is emphasizing its offerings as economical alternatives to existing options.

"We believe there's a lot to be done to democratise the gaming experience," said Ikea's global business leader of workspaces Ewa Rychert.

"Now we take the first step on our gaming journey, and we do it by presenting affordable, high-performing gaming products and complete solutions that we hope reflect people's personality and taste."
