Multiscription raises €800,000

Latest funding round will go towards growing its subscription platform for free-to-play games

Multiscription has raised €800,000 to further develop Unleashd, its subscription service for free-to-play games.

The funding round was led by Sisu Game Ventures, with further participation from Tigrim, The Danish Growth Fund, and two of the company's existing angel investors.

The funding will also go towards growing Multiscription's headcount, with a focus on the technical team behind the platform as well as the developer relations team.

Unleashd soft launched in late 2020 on Android. It's a library of free-to-play games, that are offered without ads and with added benefits, for a subscription fee.

For the time being, Unleashd has seven games in its catalog, with more to be added in the coming months ahead of the platform's full launch this year.

Multiscription's co-founder and CEO Teis Mikkelsen commented: "The data we see just from the soft launch of Unleashd confirms that subscription-based gaming for F2P titles has huge potential. This new funding will allow us to scale up quickly as we aim to launch the fully-featured Unleashd service before the end of the year."
