Turkey games studio Hero Concept receives $3m from WePlay Ventures
The studio's first game Mayhem Brawler is released this month
Hero Concept has received $3 million from start-up investor WePlay Ventures.
The developer says it is Turkey's 'first and only studio that develops games for PC and all console platforms', and will release its next game Mayhem Brawler on August 19th.
The studio was founded by video game art veteran Serkan Özay and experienced programmer Turgut Hakkı Özdemir in 2017. The firm has already developed two titles: Doughlings: Arcade ad Doughlings: Invasion.
The company says it seeks to expand its team with the new investment.
"With the participation of WePlay, we have taken another important step towards making Hero Concept a studio where young people will be eager to work," said Özay
WePlay Ventures Investment Director Burak Yılmaz added: "We are very happy that an experienced team like Hero Concept has joined the WePlay family with the ability to develop multi-platform games. I sincerely believe that they will achieve great success in all the games they will develop."
