The GI at E3 newscast: Video games are coming and Xbox gets serious

We share our thoughts on the unofficial E3 opening showcase

Summer Games Fest has started! Or, if you're like us and irked by the word 'summer' and its flagrant disregard of the Southern Hemisphere: Geoff Fest.

Throughout this whole season, GamesIndustry.biz will be hosting a series of podcasts on the latest developments, featuring a few industry guests along the way.

But to kick things off, our very own Head of Games B2B Christopher Dring, Editor-In-Chief James Batchelor and News Editor Danielle Partis got together to chat about KickOff Live, Elden Ring, Tiny Tina, the reveal of Battlefield 2042, and the rhetoric coming out of Xbox.

You can watch and listen in the YouTube video above, or you can listen right here. It is also available via Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, Overcast, Player FM, TuneIn and other widely-used podcast platforms.

We've got plenty planned for the coming weeks, so keep your eye on GamesIndustry.biz and the podcasting platform of your choice for more of our E3 2021 coverage.

Don't forget to check out the latest episodes of The Game Developers' Playlist and The Five Games Of, all episodes of which are on the same podcast feed.

We've also been releasing audio versions of the best GI Live: Online sessions, the most recent of which can be found here.
