Adopt Me developers unveil new studio, Uplift Games

Team behind hit Roblox game has grown to over 40 employees

The team of developers behind Roblox title Adopt Me has opened a new studio.

The studio, Uplift Games, will serve as a hub for ongoing development on Adopt Me, as well as the team of 40 employees already working on the game.

It is a remote-first, flexible-working studio, with staff based across North America and the UK.

"While we've been developing Adopt Me as a team for almost four years now, Uplift Games is a huge step forward in bringing our vision to the games industry," commented Josh Ling, director of business operations at Uplift Games.

"Our diverse team combines the best people from the worlds of Roblox and traditional game development, and we are so excited to continue building top Metaverse experiences in flexible and sustainable ways."

Adopt Me has seen sizable growth since its launch in 2017. The title recorded a 100% rise in monthly users between January 2020 and January 2021, moving from 30 million to over 60 million MAUs. It also saw a 400% increase in year-on-year revenue in 2020.
