Hades, Ghost of Tsushima, and Last of Us Part 2 lead GDC Award nominees

All three titles receive seven nominations, including one in Game of the Year category

The Game Developers Choice Awards today announced the nominees for its 21st annual awards, with the winners to be announced Wednesday, July 21.

As usual, the awards will be given out as part of the Game Developers Conference, which this year will take place as an all-digital event July 19-23. The Independent Games Festival award will also be announced the same day.

Hades, Ghost of Tsushima, and The Last of Us 2 tied this year with a total of seven nominations each, including for Game of the Year. Half-Life: Alyx received the next-most nominations, up for five categories including Game of the Year.

Here are the finalists for each category of the 2021 Game Developers Choice Awards, as well as honorable mentions:
