Microsoft adds touch controls to Xbox Cloud Gaming titles

Over 50 games can now be played with an Android device instead of a controller

Microsoft has announced the addition of touch controls to a selection of titles available via its Xbox Cloud Gaming service.

Over 50 games can now be played from an Android phone, including Sea of Thieves, Gears 5, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Celeste, Hello Neighbor, Yooka-Laylee and Dead Cells.

The platform holder first introduced touch controls with Minecraft Dungeons last September and said in its announcement that they "remain one of the top-requested features for cloud gaming."

The full list of cloud-enabled games that can now be played with touch controls can be found on this page.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is currently available on Android only, with iOS and PC versions expected this spring. Head of Xbox Phil Spencer said last September that Microsoft was committed to bringing the cloud gaming element of Xbox Game Pass to Apple devices, despite the iPhone maker's ongoing efforts to block it.

Cloud gaming features were first introduced on Xbox Game Pass last September.
