Rogue raises $2.5m in Series A funding

Investment from Riva Technology and Entertainment will go toward growing indie publisher's team, signing games, and multiplatform push

Rogue Games today made its third fundraising announcement in as many years, saying it has brought in $2.5 million in Series A investment.

The latest funding comes from Dubai-based Riva Technology and Entertainment, and is being put toward growing the independent games publisher's team, signing new titles, and improving its multi-platform publishing abilities.

"We're always on the lookout for companies that are doing new and exciting things in their industry, which is what drew us to Rogue," said Riva CEO Paul Roy.

"Their experienced, well-connected team and unique vision for games publishing has already yielded some fantastic successes, and we know they're just getting started. This investment into Rogue will greatly complement the 360-degree gaming and esports ecosystem that we are building at RTE."

Riva's previous gaming investments include Firefly Games and OkLetsPlay.

Rogue was founded as a mobile publisher in 2019, quickly put together a $1.25 million seed funding round, and then came back last year to raise another $2 million as it expanded its remit to include console and PC publishing.

Rogue's slate of titles include Super Impossible Road, Fisti-Fluffs, and Giant Dancing Plushies. It was also the publisher for Super Evil Megacorp's Vainglory for about four months before abruptly shutting down the game's servers and handing publishing duties back to the developer.
