Nintendo Switch is the best-selling console in Canada for 25 straight months

It sold 148,000 units in November, and 790,000 units total this year

The Nintendo Switch was the top-selling console in Canada in November, cementing its spot at the top for the 25th consecutive month.

According to data shared by The NPD Group, combined sales of the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite reached 148,000 units in Canada in November, despite the launch of next-gen consoles.

This pushed the Switch to 790,000 units sold in total in 2020 across the country. In all of 2019, the Switch sold 162,000 units in Canada.

The Switch was also the best-selling console in the US last month, a position it has now held for 24 consecutive months.

However, the PS5 was the best-selling console in the US in dollar sales, setting a new record as the biggest launch in US history despite the Switch beating it in unit sales.
